Introduction
Abracon's AVR family of Assembly Inductors provides advanced, cost-effective solutions for voltage regulation in next-generation applications. These inductors utilize a high-frequency magnetic core and specialized construction, ensuring high power efficiency and minimal loss. They are designed for use in traditional DC-DC circuits or as compensation inductors in TLVR multiphase configurations.
In TLVR topologies, this product can act as the compensation inductor essential for primary side power balancing. While TLVR circuits offer superior transient load response, not all designs necessitate this level of complexity and may prefer single-phase or traditional non-TLVR multiphase DC-DC conversion. Previously, molded inductors were commonly used in such applications, but assembly inductors now offer superior performance at a reduced cost.
The wire clip construction significantly lowers DCR values, thereby reducing heat dissipation and maximizing overall efficiency. With inductance values below 680nH, these inductors are well-suited for the high switching frequencies prevalent in data centers, cloud computing, AI/ML servers, crypto mining, and other demanding applications.
