These oscillators target high performance applications that require the next generation of low jitter clocking, enabling extremely high serial data rates up to 56Gbps and beyond.
Cloud computing and other high performance computing (HPC) applications demand CPU, FPGA, network processors and communications chipsets to scale up data rates as the system improves power consumption. Despite reaching incredibly low RMS phase jitter of 110fs to 125fs (typical, depending on output frequency) ClearClock™ is optimized for low power consumption. Previous generations of low jitter oscillators with less performance consumed as much as 75% higher power compared to ClearClock™ under equivalent operating conditions. This series of oscillators present a necessary improvement in power consumption while also extending the operating frequency range to 2.1GHz, a 40% improvement from previous generations. The ClearClock™ series also offers excellent spurious suppression.
