Austin, Texas – Abracon, LLC (Abracon), The Heartbeat of the IoT®, a leading global manufacturer of frequency control, timing, synchronization, RF, connectivity and power solutions, announces availability of new AWSCR miniature ceramic resonators for a broad range of rugged applications, including motor control, computing, consumer electronics and industrial applications.

These devices feature a wide 2MHz-to-16MHz range of available frequencies. The devices have a compact footprint, as small as 3.2x1.3mm, which includes built-in loop capacitors that enable simplified designs.

“Ceramic resonators present an alternative to quartz crystals when timing precision can be traded off for additional robustness and compact form factor,” said Juan Conchas, director of marketing with Abracon. “Abracon has expanded the product line to include a broader set of industry-standard footprints.”

The AWSCR family offers a wide temperature operation from -40⁰C to +85⁰C or 125⁰C. Low impedance and various loading capacitance options ranging from 5pF to 47pF are available. The new AWSCR products deliver ±0.5% frequency tolerance. Standard ceramic resonators enable a reliable supply chain and are in stock at Abracon’s authorized distributors.
