Abracon’s comprehensive ASPIAIG-Q High Power Density Transportation Inductor family features high-current and low-profile solutions for designs requiring high power rating, reliability and operating temperature capability.
The ASPIAIG-Q devices are designed for high-grade, connected applications with high transient loads that require efficient performance and high power density, such as automotive infotainment and comfort systems, advanced automated driver systems (ADAS), tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS), and electric vehicle (EV) systems.
The shielded flat wire devices feature a metal alloy core to enable higher inductance capabilities with softer inductor saturation and lower DCR in package sizes ranging from 6.0 x 5.7 x 2.9 mm to 17.5 x 16.5 x 12.7 mm. The molded construction yields optimal EMI shielding, providing interference protection and increased current capacity.
The ASPIAIG-Q devices are also ideal for supporting high-grade applications in the telecommunications, industrial and industrial IoT (IIoT) markets. Use cases include 5G base stations, power system generators, heavy machine equipment and robotics, and Oil & Gas instrumentation.
Other key automotive applications include EV charging, on-board diagnostics, V2V/V2I communications, distance controllers, and management systems (battery, cameras, climate, and lidar/radar).
