The FC3VR Leo improves system performance in designs exposed to modern environmental conditions. The state-of-the-art resonator incorporates patented technology that allows the FC3VR to hold superior frequency stability when compared to conventional crystals.

The low G-sensitivity makes the FC3VR ideal for wireless communication applications operating in active surroundings in which signal lock and low data loss are of utmost importance. G-sensitivity is the change in frequency resulting from an acceleration force applied to a frequency control device. The dynamic performance of a typical quartz crystal resonator will degrade under adverse environmental conditions such as G-forces (acceleration) or vibration.

The FC3VR's patented resonator technology allows the devices to hold system performance nearly uniform on all axes while retaining the same form, fit and function as conventional crystals. No other circuit substitutions are required to try the low G-sensitivity crystals, and the benefits in performance and reliability begin immediately.

FC3VR Acceleration Sensitivity Comparison

The chart above compares the acceleration sensitivity between a conventional quartz crystal and the Fox FC3VR. As the chart illustrates, replacing your conventional quartz crystal with the FC3VR instantly gives you a massive improvement in sensitivity to acceleration. The less sensitivity to acceleration, the better your phase noise. Better phase noise means better communication and less data loss.
