Abracon has a variety of power inductors that come in various form factors and performances for DC-DC conversion circuits. Working through a wide offering can be a difficult task when trying to balance performance, cost and efficiency tradeoffs. This set of design guides brings the application engineer’s perspective to you by providing preselected inductors to meet any need whether it is cost, performance, efficiency or size. It is designed with in depth understanding of inductor selection for applications within a specified range of current ratings.

Determine current rating requirement (max current the inductor will see including ripple of typically 20%-40%).
Within Technical Data Column, locate guide(s) in which current rating requirement is within range.
Identify desired inductance range utilizing preferred equations.

Review description and optimize design to cost, efficiency or size.
