Customer Service Representative

This position is responsible for the day-to-day support of our customer requirements. You will maintain strong relationships with certain direct accounts as well as assigned distribution channel partners across multiple territories in the EMEA region. You will communicate frequently with internal teams, peers, and senior management and with technical, engineering, and other related support staff to ensure end-to-end customer sales and satisfaction, thereby driving new revenue growth. You will collaborate with product development regarding new product introductions for customers and distributors.

Responsibilities:

  • Processing of new customer orders into the Sage order entry system.
  • Maintenance of customer order book with regular updating of order delivery dates, advising of any slippages in delivery, expediting via purchasing for delivery improvements, and offering suitable alternatives as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with Original Equipment Manufacturer and Electronic Manufacturing Service customers – purchasing, supply chain, engineering, quality decision makers as well as key staff members within our franchised distribution channel partners.
  • Work collaboratively with the Quality department on any issue relating to customer complaints and requests for Return Material Authorisations (RMA).
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of industry structure, technical applications, trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with the Regional Sales Managers and other functional departments within Abracon.

Qualifications and skills

  • Demonstratable experience with Power Point, Excel and other Microsoft applications.
  • Personal accountability and strong time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as successfully contribute to a work team
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in order to present the Company brand, accurately communicate both written and orally, and outstanding record maintenance.
  • An understanding and ability to speak English fluently is a Pre-requisite. The ability to speak additional languages would be seen as a strong advantage in this role due to the international elements of the position

Education and work experience

  • Minimum of 2 years related experience in a technically related customer support role.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from related field Preferred
