Abracon Announces Compact Chip Antenna Solutions for Wearables and IoT ACA-102, ACA-103, AMCA31

This series of chip antennas are designed to simplify critical trade-offs between size and RF power gain, an important factor in optimizing IoT and wearables functionality and design. Rugged ceramic construction supporting -40C to 85C operating temperature range ideally suits them for the demanding requirements of industrial applications.
The ACA-102 offers the most compact size supporting 2.4GHz Bluetooth, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and WiFi/Wireless LAN applications with a small 2.0×1.2 footprint and 1mm height while offering -3dBi of gain.
The ACA-103 features dual-band supporting Bluetooth/BLE/WiFi/WLAN at 2.4GHz with -4dBi of gain and WiFi/WLAN at 5.5GHz with -6dBi of gain in a compact 5.0×2.0x1.2mm form factor.
The AMCA31 offers the best gain in the series supporting 2.4GHz Bluetooth, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and WiFi/Wireless LAN applications with a small 3.2×1.6 footprint and 1.2mm height while offering -1dBi of gain maximizing range and optimizing efficiency.
To further optimize end system design, Abracon offers antenna tuning services that measure gain and center frequency of the end system and confirm in-circuit performance of the antenna. In cases when the antenna is de-tuned due to non-optimal layout, ground plane or other issues, Abracon will recommend the optimal values to use on the pi-network matching the impedance between the RF IC and the antenna.
